Womens Wolverine
Browse every currently available style of womens wolverine footwear. Wolverine makes a concerted effort to provide womens work shoes and boots that are extremely durable, provide all day comfort, are lightweight, and have feminine stylings so that you don't feel like you are walking around with your feet embeded in concrete blocks. Many Womens Wolverine Shoes come with the Individual comfor system (iCS) which is an insole with an adjustable cushion as well as cement construction which ensures lasting durability of the shoe from separation between the sole and the upper, and prevents water from seeping in at the seams.
2011-2012 Lineup of Womens Wolverine Footwear
While Wolverine Footwear is best known for its Mens Work Boots, and nearly 90% of their styles are made in mens sizes only, about 10% of their boots are made in womens sizes. Some of these styles look similar and have similar functionality compared with the mens counterpart but most are entirely unique to the womens lineup. Included in this article are the current Womens Wolverine Styles and the features available on each.
Aurora – low cut shoe with lace up or slip-on options, and feminine styling. This style comes with the patented individual comfort system (icCS) and a Slip Resistant Sole.
Ayah – Available in both High cut and low cut options as well as lace up or slip on styling. Built with the slip resistant sole, PEAK anti-gravity technology, and anti-microbial air cell footbed. Styling is similar to the mens style.
Bella – The Bella style is a uniquely womans wolverine shoe in the Mary Jane style. The shoe comes with the iCS insole for adjustable compression and maximum shock absorption.
Britney – Like the Bella is also a uniquely woman’s wolverine shoe with the iCS insole and the same tread, but it comes as a slip on rather than the mary jane. The Britney has one of wolverine’s unique features called the cement construction where the upper is wrapped around the outsole and then bonded rather than stitched creating a shoe that is effectively one piece making it far more resistant to tearing or separation.
Cougar – Womens hunting and outdoor boot, which is heavily insulated with 600 grams thinsulate and a built with a waterproof upper and cement construction to ensure it is completely waterproof. Styling is similar to a mens boot.
Durashocks SR Wellington – A classical wellington boot style but containing a Gore-Tex waterproof lining, rubber midsole and fiberglass shank. Style identical to the mens wellington.
Fountain – An exclusively woman’s clog with the Wolverine iCS insole, and slip-resistant sole made in multiple colors.
Maggie – A feminine looking hiker style available in both a mid cut and high cut. This boot contains cement construction, and a Steel-Toe.
Outlander – Waterproof Slip-on ensured by cement construction, feminine styling and multiple colors.
Paris – An exclusively womens wolverine shoe with the iCS insole for extra support similar features to the Britney. Available in black and white.
Ruby – A classic slip-on with an ortholite sock liner footed and a completely sole (100% of the sole is in contact with ground). Available in Black and Brown.
Sierra – A feminine looking waterproof hiker style available in both a low and mid cut. Similar to the Maggie but made with tie-less laces and cement construction without a Steel-Toe.
Traverse – A feminine looking High Heel Klog with the iCS comfort system and sole similar to the Fountain. Available in Black and Khaki.
Weston – A feminine looking conventional Oxford with laces, the iCS insole and slip-resistant sole. Very similar to the Ashlee Style.
Moc-Toe – Style similar to the comparable mens style, this moccasin-toe brown boot has a completely flat sole so that the entire sole is incontact with the ground at all times. A Mid cut boot with a wedge heel and nylon shank.
The current selection of womens wolverine shoes and boots has become more feminine than ever before and most styles are available in a wide width. The main focus is on slip-resistant soles and iCS insoles for extended hours of comfort while working. The disadvantage of the current womens Wolverine work boot offerings is that there is only one shoe style currently available with a Steel toe (Maggie).
We Love Change
We live in an interesting world. It is truly remarkable to see how much our world has change over the years. As every day goes by I see new things that I thought could never exist. Then I start to think about where we are going in the modern world of technology. The possibilities are endless. We should embrace these changes anxiously and take the good out of everything we can. One of the most fascinating changes I think we can all admit to is the right to work. We live in a marvelous world that allows each and every one of us to work and to be successful no matter where we are. The best part of all is that we, by law, cannot and will not be judged by our sex, color, religion and whatever else. This gives me a sense of peace to know that I have just as fair of chance to excel in this life as anyone else and that I will be given the same opportunities. I must admit that some things seem a little strange when we see them. I worked in construction for a couple of years and I ran across a couple of women working in the construction industry. I’m not just talking about a desk job, these women were out there installing pipe and running electrical wire. I was a little surprised at first but grew to appreciate the fact that they are just as qualified as I was to do the job. What I also love is that certain companies recognize this transition that is taking place and is starting to make apparel such as Women’s Work Boots to provide for the growing needs. Womens Wolverine Boots live up to the popular name of Men’s Wolverine Boots and still provide the same quality and performance as any other boot you can find. We all have the chance to be who we want to be. We have the right to dream and make millions if we want. I often hear people talk about the terrible world we live in, but I choose to disagree. Nothing is perfect so how can we expect the world to be perfect. I choose to live in optimism on a day to day basis while trying to encourage others to do the same. I love what I do and where I live and who I am. I encourage each and every one of you to reflect upon the wonderful things you have in your life and to try and recognize them on a daily basis.
